Jewish University students of New York, joined by non-Jewish student sympathizers, will take part in a demonstration to the offices of the Polish Consulate in New York City on Thursday, December 15th, to protest against the anti-Semitic disturbances in Poland.
The demonstration, in which thousands of students are expected to participate, is being organized by a Committee calling itself “Jewish Student Defense Executive”, headed by Dr. Arthur Kraus, an instructor at the College of the City of New York, Department of Philosophy.
The Jewish Student Defense Executive has pledged to it the support of the Intercollegiate Menorah Society, the Avukah organization of City College, the Social Problems Club of that institution, the League for Industrial Democracy, the Inter Club Council of City College ; the Newman Club, a Catholic Society, and the Y.M.C.A. of City College.
Efforts are being made to secure the co-operation of other organizations in other educational institutions in New York City, Dr. Kraus explained in a statement issued to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency yesterday.
