A student delegation appeared today at the headquarters of the Rumanian National Peasant Party and asked leaders of the party to create a united front to fight anti-Jewish propaganda in the universities.
The delegation pointed out that a great number of non-Jewish students in the universities feel compromised by the continual anti-Semitic outbreaks in the University of Bucharest.
The leaders of the Peasant Party made it clear to the delegation that they will be glad to assist in any effort to check anti-Semitio activities in the universities.
BAN SOIL EXPORT
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has issued a decree for bidding export of black soil from Rumania. This action follows a great hue and cry raised by anti-Semitic leaders and picked up by the peasants, after a few shiploads had sailed down the Danube bound for Palestine.
Several Jews, leaving Rumania to settle in Palestine, perplexed as to how to transport their capital in view of Rumania’s stringent ban on exporting currency, conceived the idea of taking with them some of the rich black loam which covers part of Bessarabia, Oltenia and Moldavia and makes those regions so fertile.
They duly applied to the authorities for permission to buy and export the loam; a valuation was put upon it and several hundred tons
