Some 800 Students at the Hebrew University, Israel Institute of Technology at Haifa and the High School of Economic Studies in Tel Aviv held demonstrations today to demand a decrease in tuition fees.
So far studies have been held up at all three institutions without any of the administrations agreeing to lower fees. Hebrew University president Prof. Benjamin Mazar promised to increase scholarship fees for poor students and for students at the medical school, but the students have not yet returned to classes.
