The trial of a group of students charged with persecuting a fellow Jewish student was opened here. The students at the Polytechni Institute persecuted the Jewish student Rashkewitch. The defendants are Emil Ianchenko, Samarsky, Dudnik and Lusak.
Before the trial Samarsky sent a letter to the Institute heads declaring that he would commit suicide because of the charge of anti-Semitism brought against him.
