Samuel Sturtz of New York was reelected grand master of the Independent Order of Free Sons of Israel at the conclusion of the triennial convention here. Other officers chosen were I. L. Feinberg, New York, first deputy grand master; Sol Kohn, Chicago, deputy grand master; Henry J. Hyman, New York, secretary, and Emil Taussig, New York, treasurer. The next convention will be held in 1933.
The 150 delegates present from all parts of the country heard Mr. Sturtz, in his annual report, say that the Order now has a membership of more than 20,000 and assets in excess of $1,850,000. The growth of the organization, he declared, was particularly satisfactory during the last two years.
