Joshua Suprasky, president of the General Zionists’ Federation of Palestine, arrived in this country last week in the interests of the Tiberias Hot Springs Company, and for the purpose of enlisting American aid in bringing to Palestine one thousand Jewish families from Eastern Europe. Mr. Suprasky, who is a member of the Zionist Actions Committee, of the Jewish Agency Council and of the Vaad Leumi, or Jewish National Council, of Palestine, participated in the recent sessions of the Actions Committee and of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency in London.
With regard to the Tiberias hot springs concession, of which he is the manager, Mr. Suprasky stated that seventy thousand dollars has already been invested in the work of erecting modern bath facilities in that section of Palestine. To complete the work a million dollars will be necessary. He has come to this country to raise $200,000 which is necessary for a start.
