The Supreme Court of Ukraine yesterday reversed the decision of the local court in the trial of Communist officials charged with anti-Semitism.
The local court in Stanislavchik acquitted local officials who were charged with terrorizing the Jewish population. A new investigation established the fact that the village was practically controlled by officials who were formerly members of anti-Semitic pogrom bands. The Supreme Court annulled the decision of the local court and ordered a new trial.
