Israel is included in long-term proposals for the economic development of the Middle East, which is the objective of the second report now being prepared by the Survey Mission of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine, it was learned today from a U.N. spokesmen.
The report is under way and will be submitted to the Conciliation Commission in a month, but it may not be ready in time for discussion by the U.N. General Assembly, it was stated. One of the Groups of experts surveying the Middle East, headed by Dr. John Murray of Britain, is due to arrive in Tel Aviv Wednesday for a study of Israel’s financial and economic problems. A second group, headed by Sir Herbert Stewart, British agricultural expert, will arrive next week to inspect Israel plans, achievements and needs in farming.
