A survey of high school students found that only one-third backed the peace process.
In contrast, their teachers were more optimistic, with 47 percent expressing support for it.
The Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported that the survey, conducted last year, questioned a total of 835 students and teachers.
The survey also showed that 53 percent of the students were opposed to the concept of "land for peace," while 29 percent of the students supported it. Among the teachers, 62 percent supported the concept, while 20 percent were opposed.
The survey also found that more teachers than students thought that the peace process should be taught in school.
