A survey made by the newspaper PM shows a large increase in the number of New York employment agencies practicing religious discrimination. A check-up on advertisements in the New York Herald Tribune showed that 25 agencies are seeking 56 “Anglo-Saxons” and 169 Christians. License Commissioner Paul Moss has promised to take action against agencies specifying “Anglo-Saxon” or Christian without specific written instructions from their clients.
