The swastika, symbol of Nazism, burst out all over the Western world map this week-end–being publicly smeared in New York, daubed in London, appearing in Israel, showing its face in many cities in Germany, stealthily manifesting, itself in Parin, Brussels, Stockholm and Oslo.
The “incidents” multiplied during the 1960 New Year week-end, compounding the current spate of anti-Semitic “pranks” following the outrage in Cologne last Christmas Eve, when a synagogue and a memorial to victims of Nazism were desecrated with the swastika and with anti-Semitic slogans.
