A plainclothes detective was on guard today on an indefinite assignment at the Skokie Valley Traditional Synagogue, at Skokie, a Chicago suburb, after three swastikas were found painted on the synagogue.
Police Chief Louis Henning promised full prosecution of the vandals if they are found. A swastika was painted on the synagogue in July, 1958, when it was under construction.
