Sweden Will Permit 200 Refugee Physicians to Practice in Hospitals; Will Grant Loans

Two hundred refugee physicians will be enabled to practice in Sweden, according to a plan submitted to the Swedish Government by the General Medical Board in Stockholm, it is announced by the American-Swedish News Ex-change. Almost 150 of the doctors are natives of Baltic countries, and the rest of eight other nations.

Following careful check-up on the training and education of the doctors, they will be sent to hospitals for at least one year’s active service. Government loans will support the physicians and their families during the apprenticeship period.
