Sigfrid Edstroem, chairman of the International Olympic Committee, was sharply criticized in the Swedish press today for ruling Israel ineligible for participation in the international sports festival. One news-paper, the Expressen, urged that he resign his post immediately, and pointed out that he previously had agreed to the holding of Olympic events in Germany.
