Dr. Ernst Cassirer, an internationally known Jewish philosopher who was dismissed by the Nazis from the University of Hamburg, was appointed today to occupy a special chair of philosophy in the Gotesburg University.
Dr. Cassirer is the author of many books on philosophy which are considered standard works. He was born in Breslau, Germany, sixty years ago. He was an active member of the Academy for Jewish Science.
