The $150,000 won in the Irish Sweepstakes by the Koss family, proprietors of a First Avenue candy store, will take the family to Palestine, maybe to Russia, and certainly back to New York again. Such was the announced plan of Peter Koss, whose son, Simon, held a winning ticket on Wychwood Abbot. Mr. Koss, Sr., who paid for the ticket in his son’s name, yesterday sold his store to the highest of a number of bidders, all answering a newspaper “ad” and desirous of owning the “lucky” site.
