A resolution demanding abrogation of the White Paper and that “permanent right of Jews to immigrants to and settle and acquire real estate in any part of Palestine” has been adopted by a conference of Swiss Zionists meeting in Hasle, site of the first world Zionist congress.
Speakers at the conference, which opened yesterday, pointed out that the Jews desire to live at peace with the Arabs in Palestine. They demanded that in view of Palestine Jewry’s contributions to the war effort, the Jewish Agency for Palestine should be given control of future immigration, and colonization and that Palestine should be made a Jewish Commonwealth.
