A SWISS COURT REFUSED TODAY TO RECOGNIZE GERMANY’S ANTI-JEWISH LEGISLATION IN DISMISSING A SUIT BROUGHT BY THE U.F.A. BERLINER FILMGESELLSCHAFT FOR ANNULMENT OF A CONTRACT WITH A JEWISH FIRM.

THE HIGH COURT AT LAUSANNE RULED THAT THE REICH’S ANTI-JEWISH LAWS CANNOT BE RECOGNIZED BY A SWISS COURT SINCE UNEQUAL TREATMENT OF CITIZENS FUNDAMENTALLY CONTRADICTS SWITZERLAND’S LEGAL SYSTEM AND PRACTICE.

U.F.A. BASED ITS CASE ON THE CONTENTION THAT GERMAN LAW PERMITS ANNULMENT OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN AN “ARYAN” AND A JEW.
