A plea for generous treatment of refugees was made today by Herr Schusch, representative of Swiss labor organizations, before a session of the International Labor Office conference here. Welcoming Director John G. Winant’s suggestion that refugees be absorbed not only in agriculture but also in industry. Herr Schusch cited Holland, England and other countries to demonstrate the benefits refugees have brought to the economy of countries of admission.
