Switzerland’s point man for dealing with Holocaust-era issues canceled a meeting with the dean of the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center after word that it would take place was leaked to the media, according to a Swiss official. Ambassador Thomas Borer was expected to talk to Rabbi Marvin Hier about Switzerland’s attempts to confront its financial dealings during the Holocaust.
