Sylvia Sidney makes her latest appearance for Paramount in “Thirty-Day Princess,” adapted from Clarence Budington Kelland’s magazine novel, which opened at the Paramount Theatre Friday. Cary Grant is featured, and the supporting cast includes Edward Arnold, Vince Barnett, Lucien Littlefield, Henry Stephenson and Edgar Norton.
The film, produced by B.P. Schulberg and directed by Marion Gering, is a comedy of events that occur when an American girl is called upon to enact the role of a European princess who has fallen ill, that she may impress America and secure a big bankers’ loan for the princess’ country.
