A telegram endorsing President Roosevelt’s designation of a Day of Prayer for Peace has been sent to the Chief Executive in the name of American Judaism by the Synagogue Council of America, it was announced today. This Council groups all the synagogues of the United States belonging to the Orthodox, Conservative and Reform groups of Judaism.
In the message the Council “gladly pledges” the cooperation of the Synagogues of the country in observing this day of special prayers, Sept. 8.
