Dr. Meyer Hildesheimer, rabbi of the Adath Israel of Berlin, who died in Berlin on Sunday at the age of seventy, will be memorialized at the services Thursday night at the synagogue of the First Hungarian Congregation Ohab Zedek where he occupied the pulpit during his visits to this country years ago.
The services, according to annoncement by the religious recreation committee, will afford an opportunity to the many friends he made during his stay here to honor the memory of a great teacher, scholar and rabbi.
The “El Mole Rachmim” will be chanted by the cantors under the leadership of Rev. Pinchos Jassinowsky, chairman of the Jewish Ministers-Cantors Association of America.
