The synagogues of the Soviet Union are filled to capacity on the Sabbath and the crowds are so great on festivals and holidays that special arrangements have to be made to handle them, a group of Russian church leaders currently visiting Britain told a Jewish delegation here today.

At the request of the Jewish delegation, the Russian clergymen agreed to take back to Soviet Jewry the greetings of the Jewish community of Britain. The British Jewish delegation consisted of Barnett Janner, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, A. G. Brotman, secretary of the Board, and Doyen Dr. M. Lew.
