Synagogues Turned over to Moravian Church to Save Them from Nazis

Jewish congregations in the Czech Protectorate are turning their synagogues over to the Czech Moravian Church to prevent their destruction at the hands of the Nazis, it is disclosed in the Nazi-controlled newspaper, Obrana Naroda, reaching here today.

The Czech paper reveals that synagogues throughout the Protectorate are being “liquidated.” Some have been burned down while others have had all their windows broken. Some congregations are attempting to sell their synagogues to save them from the Nazi vandalism.
