Max J. Schneider, president of the Bronx branch of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, announced yesterday that steps are being taken to organize a special Bronx women’s divistion of the Emergency Campaign for the Settlement of German Jewish Regugees in Palestine to provide for the colonization, and education of refugee children in the Jewish Homeland.

“The children of refugees are the most pathetic victims of the brutalities of the Hitlerites,” said Mr. Schneider. “Assailed from every quarter by wholesale slander, discrimination, and intolerance, their frail and sensitive spirits are being crushed and broken by the cruel ‘purging’ program of the Nazis against the Jews. If these children are allowed to remain in Germany much longer, their lives will be permanently distorted and mangied. They will grow up to become a gencewration without a soul, plunged in the darkness of despair and misery.”

Mr. Shneider said that “Palestine offers them and opportunity for a wholesome and construtive life in an atmosphere of peace and greedom.”

A conference of Bronx women leaders will be called soon to draw up plans for a Bronx divistion for the settlement of German Jewish children in Palestine.
