Dr. Aron Syngalowski, president of the World ORT Union, announced this weekend a new program of special short courses in trade school training in four centers in Morocco and Tunis. The courses will be given for some 1,400 students ranging in age from 17 to 40. Under the program the students will be trained as building workers, tractor operators and locksmiths within the next 9 to 12 months.
Centers at which the courses will be given include Casablanca, Marrakesh, Meknes and Tunis. Graduates will be given priority for emigration to Israel. In addition to the four new trade schools, ORT maintains schools in Tunis and Morocco which now accommodate some 3,000 students.
