The annual observance of memorial services, held in memory of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Marshall and Louis Marshall, their son, prominent lawyer and leader, will be conducted at the local Jewish Communal Center, their former home, donated to the Jewish community of Syracuse, Thursday evening, October 25.
A well known national figure will be the guest speaker of the evening. The services will mark the beginning of season’s activity of the Center under the directorship of George M. Hyman, and will be featured by awards presented by Stewart F. Hancock, prominent Syracuse non-Jewish attorney, to outstanding club leaders, volunteer workers and members for services to the local Center.
The awards will be given in memory of the late Samuel Pearlman, young attorney, in whose ##nor Hancock has presented prizes in past years for the best written essays on Jewish themes.
