“It is an expanding, enriching experience to celebrate a great man like Spinoza, who is a power in the intellectual world and to whom we owe the whole Realistic movement in America today,” declared Dr. George A. Wilson, head of the department of philosophy of Syracuse University at a meeting here to celebrate the Spinoza tercentary.

Others who participated in the celebration were: Dr. I. H. Levy of Medical College; Dr. I. J. Peritz of the Bible Department; Dr. Ernest Thelin, head of the psychology department; Dr. Ross Hopple and Paul F. Ward, of the philosophy department.
