Believing the London conferences on Palestine will be unsuccessful without participation of representatives of the exiled ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Premier Mahmoud Pasha today asked French Minister de Witasse to grant Arab leaders who have just been released from the Seychelles Islands a week’s unconditional stay in Beirut, during which they may confer with the ex-Mufti. The request was forwarded to M. Puaux, new French High Commissioner for Syria.
