Sir Arthur Wauchope, the High Commissioner of Palestine, returned today from a two weeks’ visit to Syria where he discussed questions concerning a change in the Palestine-Syrian boundary.
An official communique giving the results of the High Commissioner’s visit, is anticipated. During his stay, the High Commissioner negotiated a commercial pact between Palestine and Syria which may have a far-reaching effect on Palestine industry.
It had been reported here previously by Arab newspapers that the Syrian government, with the approval of the French administration in Syria, is considering certain changes in the Palestine-Syrian borderline in favor of Palestine. Some of these changes may affect the concession which the Jews of Palestine recently obtained over Hulch, which is right on the Syria-Palestine border.
