Agitation against the French by Lebanese for their independence, has provoked a situation in Syria which threatens not only Jews but Christians as well, according to well-informed Washington authorities.
The agitation has given rise to “anti-foreigner” propaganda, such that Christians are seeking refuge from Syria in Lebanon and Syrian Jews are seeking refuge in Palestine, it was reported here today.
