Arthur Szyk, well-known Polish Jewish artist, who arrived in New York last Thursday on the French liner Champlain, is leaving for Washington, D. C., to attend the opening of an exhibition of his work. Mr. Szyk is to receive an official welcome from the Polish Ambassador at Washington.
The Jewish artist, who is 39 years old, is well known for his historical paintings. A portrait of George Washington by him has been popular here.
