Taiwan’s ruling party defended a television commercial that featured footage of Hitler, saying it was not intended to hurt the feelings of Jews. Following protests by the Anti-Defamation League, an official with the Democratic Progressive Party said it might add subtitles to “make clear Hitler was a dictator,” but added that the party “will continue to air the advertisement.”
