In reviewing Abram Leon Sachar’s book, “A History of the Jews,” in the book section of last Sunday’s “Herald-Tribune,” Rabbi H. G. Enelow takes Mr. Sachar to task for not using such a first hand source as the Jewish Daily Bulletin. After pointing out a number of errors that Mr. Sachar’s work contains, Rabbi Enelow says “this shows what may happen to a historian who will not rummage through the sources, not even the Jewish Daily Bulletin, though he writes engagingly.”
