Talks on Jewish Claims in Austria Expected to Last One Month

The Austro-Jewish negotiations on the Jewish claims which resumed here yesterday after a suspension of nearly a year are expected to conclude by the end of June, it was indicated today in Austrian Government circles.

After yesterday’s meeting between the Jewish delegation and Austrian Finance Minister R. Kamitz, the Jewish delegation is neither optimistic nor pessimistic, but is waiting to see the Austrian proposals before commenting. Jewish experts met today with Dr. A. Klein, an expert of the Austrian Finance Ministry, to discuss legislative measures designed to aid Austrian Jews who were persecuted under the Nazi regime.
