Israeli officials reported that oil is flowing efficiently in the American-owned Tapline from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon after extensive repairs were made on the saboteur-damaged pipeline. They said that the American company had not only made the repairs but also set up extensive security procedures to ensure that the line would not again be easily reached by saboteurs. The firm also prepared measures to use immediately, if there was another break in the line, to prevent a repetition of a flow into Israeli water sources. About 25 miles of the pipeline is located in the Israeli-held Golan Heights.
