The conference of the Tarbuth Association, Hebrew school group, closed here today with the proclamation of a drive for the Keren Bialik, a fund established in honor of Chaim Nachman Bialik, Hebrew poet laureate who died in Vienna last July.
Speakers at the conference stressed the desperate financial straits of Polish Hebrew schools and declared that they must have immediate help if they are not to close their doors.
