PREMIER GEORG TATARESCU FORMED A NEW CABINET TODAY IN COMBINATION WITH THE ANTI-SEMITIC NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF PROF. NICOLAE IORGA. THE GOVERNMENT APPEARS TO HAVE TAKEN A DECIDED SWING TO THE RIGHT, WITH ANTI-SEMITIC INFLUENCE ON IT GREATLY INCREASED.
THE NEW CABINET RETAINS MOST OF THE MINISTERS IN THE FORMER CABINET. THE PRINCIPAL CHANGES ARE:
VALERIUS POP, MINISTER OF TRADE AND COMMERCE IN THE LAST CABINET, BECOMES MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO;
RICHARD FRANASOVICI, FORMER UNDER-SECRETARY OF INTERIOR, AND KNOWN FOR HIS MODERATE LIBERAL VIEWS, BECOMES MINISTER OF INTERIOR, A POST HELD IN THE LAST CABINET BY TATARESCU HIMSELF;
PROFESSOR SISESTI, AN AGRICULTURAL EXPERT AND MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY, IS APPOINTED MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE.
THE PREMIER ALSO ANNOUNCED THAT AN ELECTORAL AGREEMENT HAS BEEN CONCLUDED AMONG THE LIBERALS, PROF. ALEXANDER VAIDA-VOEVOD’S ANTI-SEMITIC RUMANIAN FRONT AND THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATS FOR A UNITED LIST IN THE DECEMBER ELECTIONS.
