“The taxation system in Poland is getting more and more catastrophic for the Jews,” Deputy H. Rosmarin declared today from the parliamentary tribune.

“Hundreds of thousands of taxpayers are being ruined economically,” the Jewish parliamentarian declared, adding that “the entire taxation system must undergo immediate reforms.”

Dr. Rosmarin protested against the anti-Jewish harangue made the day before in Parliament by Deputy Bielecki, a leader of the anti-Semitic National Democratic Party, who demanded the ousting of all Jews from Poland.

“It is regrettable,” Dr. Rosmarin said, “that not a single deputy of the Parliament, not even the Socialists, repudiated Dr. Bielecki’s anti-Jewish denunciations from the platform of the Parliament. The Jewish people are struggling in Poland for their mere existence and for their rights.”
