Myron C. Taylor, President Roosevelt’s envoy to the Vatican, will discuss refugee questions in London where he arrived ? on rout home from a conference at the Vatican. Under Secretary of State Sumner Welles indicated at a press conference today.
Asked whether Taylor’s route home-via London rather than directly from Lisbon had any special meaning, Welles replied that it had no undue significance, but he reminded the questioner that Taylor holds, among other positions, that of the United States representative on the Intergovernmental Refugee Committee, and that he has certain contacts in London that he would very naturally want to renew.
