Mrs. Rebekah Kohut, who was her pupil just fifty years ago, is one of those mentioned in the will of the late Miss Fidelia Jewett, an educator in San Francisco for more than forty years, who retired from active professional work twenty years ago.
Mrs. Kohut, who resides in New York, spoke of Miss Jewett several times in her autobiography, “My Portion.”
