The second annual convention of the National Association of Hebrew Teachers and Principals of America will be be held April 27-28 at the Hias Building, New York City.
Dr. David Yellin of Palestine and Dr. Nissan Touroff of New York, will speak on the status of Hebrew education in Palestine and in the United States.
Delegates are expected from the principal cities of the United States and Canada.
The first conference of representatives of Hebrew Teachers Training Schools will be held in New York, April 28 and 29 at Temple Avah Chesed. The National Council for Jewish Education is calling the conference.
The following schools will send delegates: Baltimore Hebrew College, Boston Hebrew Teachers College, Chicago College for Jewish Studies, New York Teachers Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary and the Teachers Institute of the Yeshiva College, Gratz College, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh Hebrew Teachers Training School.
The purpose of the conference will be to discuss the establishment of uniform minimum standards to be applied to all Hebrew Teachers Training Schools of the country.
Y. M. H. A’s, Y. W. H. A.’s and Jewish Community Centers of the United States are planning programs in celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12th.
In many associations, “Mother and Daughter Banquets” and “Parents’ Nights” will be arranged.
A bulletin has been issued by the Jewish Welfare Board for the observance of Mother’s Day, with program material.
