School teachers of the New York public and high schools will honor Prof. Norman Bentwich, former attorney general of Palestine at a reception to be given at the Hotel Commodore this afternoon. Prof. Bentwich who now occupies the Weizmann chair of International Relations in Jerusalem arrived in this country last week to participate in the United Jewish Appeal drive here.
The reception is being given by the educators’ division of the Greater New York campaign of which Jacob Greenberg, Edward Mandel and Benjamin Veit are chairmen. Dr. Harold G. Campbell, superintendent of schools will greet Prof. Bentwich on behalf of the New York public school system and Morris Rothenberg, president of the American Zionist Organization and Dr. Maxwell Ross will also speak.
