Widespread press attention has been given to a major archaeological discovery in northern Italy, after four years of research, by a team led by Emanuel Anati, an Israeli archaeologist.
The team unearthed documentation on the existence of a community which lived in the area, near Lake Iseo, 2,000 years B. C. E. The community left artifacts of its existence in rock drawings. Mr. Anati, who was born in Florence, was graduated from the Hebrew University. He completed his studies at Harvard University and the Sorbonne in Paris.
