A meeting of the Columbians, anti-Negro and anti-Jewish organization, was broken up last night by a person who threw a tear gas bomb through the window of a room where it was being held.
Police authorities expressed the opinion that the bomb incident might have been inspired by the Columbians themselves in order to draw sympathy to their movement. The meeting was attended by 500 persons including many members of veterans organizations and civic and church leaders who had intended to challenge the speakers’ statements.
