The Municipal Council has approved a budget of L522,000 for the coming fiscal year, the largest budget in Tel Aviv’s history. The expenditures include a L50,000 first payment on an expected Government loan.
A Jewish Community tax of 2 1/2 per cent was abolished by the Council and the general tax increased from 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 per cent.
