Although the Colonial Office has approved of the loan to be made by the municipality of Tel Aviv for the construction of its own abbatoir the district commissioner has not yet authorized the expenditure of the money to be derived from the loan until the whole Tel Aviv budget has been passed together with the government’s proposed reductions, including the elimination of the municipality’s subvention to the Hadassah Hospital.
