Everything is set for the big traditional Purim carnival which will last three days this year instead of the usual one, according to a program announced today.
The carnival will open tomorrow with outdoor folk dancing and songs and with a festival in the Opera Square. On Tuesday a Purim parade will be held throughout the streets of the city, followed by a children’s festival. The annual carnival procession, in which about 150,000 persons from all parts of Palestine are expected to participate, will climax the celebrations on Wednesday.
