Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest city, will double its tourist capacity within a few years, according to Moshe Kol, Minister of Tourism and Development. Mr. Kol spoke at the cornerstone-laying ceremonies for a new 308-room seaside hotel under construction by Jewish investors in West Germany. The new hotel will be the city’s third largest, following the Hilton and Sheraton hotels. Mr. Kol said that some 4,000 new hotel rooms were presently under construction or in the advanced planning stages in Tel Aviv.
